Graduate Gemologist/Sales

Gail graduated in residence from G.I.A. Santa Monica campus (Gemological Institute of America), "The World’s Foremost Authority in Gemology™". In Gail’s 22 years as a Graduate Gemologist she has worked mainly as a Jewelry Appraiser however during the first 8 years of her career focused on buying Diamonds, colored stones, and doing quality control for a fine jewelry chain. She also supervised two other Graduate Gemologists and oversaw the appraisal department.

Gail has been AvantGold’s Gemologist and Appraiser for almost 18 years. Gail’s product/industry knowledge, formal Gemological training and sales experience has enabled her to produce an appraisal that reflects the appropriate value based not only on gemstone and metals, but the type of manufacturing process and/or designer factor.

Gail has also taken many updated courses over the years as information changes and maintains a reference library on synthetics. Gail finds her work very satisfying by providing a much needed service to AvantGold’s clientele.

Gail and her husband have a daughter and live in the Tampa area. Gail’s favorite after work activities include cooking and volunteering for the community.
